Our client is looking for a Sr J2EE Admin/Webmethods consultant.
The project will be located in Alpharetta (Mansell Road) 
The project duration will be 6+ months.

Skills:
SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Senior J2EE administrator responsible for installation, configuration and support of J2EE applications, with WebMethods, BEA WebLogic, and JBoss Application Server and the Windows 2003 Servers on which the applications operate. This position supports development to production life cycle environments including development, QA, staging and production. This is position is part of the Operations organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for system management activities including OS configuration, software upgrades, capacity planning, and performance monitoring and tuning
Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
Design and implementation of future webMethods environments, and assist with Web Logic domain, JBOSS Clusters
Mentor and train co-workers
After-hours environment and application support will be required
This is a "hands on" technical position and will require the individual to handle multiple projects in a fast paced software and technical lifecycle
Interact with software, network, database, and UNIX administrators to seamlessly implement solutions to complex technical issues
Adhere to all existing Client security and software standards

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum four years administration experience focusing on Windows System Administration and J2EE technologies
Strong verbal and written communications skills a must!
Experience in a carrier-class ISP environment
Webmethods 7.0
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Must demonstrate strong team building skills
Strong scripting skills (shell scripting and Web Logic. Admin or Web Logic WLST)
Strong knowledge of J2EE technology such as JMS, JDBC, JNDI is required
Must be willing to provide 24x7x365 support (include a rotating, on-call schedule)
Must be able to configure and support clusters (webMethods and Web Logic or JBOSS). 
Must be able to configure connection pools to communicate with Oracle RAC clusters.
Must be able to translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications


Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline; generally 5-8 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Certification required in some areas

Dept/Org Scope & Impact - Seasoned professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the professional field; May be responsible for entire projects or functions having modest scope/impact or portions of projects having considerable scope/impact to department, area, and, at times, business unit results

Problem Complexity - Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field; Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems

Autonomy - Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Determines and develops approach to solutions; Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues

Knowledge - Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Advanced knowledge of organization's technologies and practices
Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, and technical) rather than managing people. Greater than 50% of time is doing individual contributor work 
No responsibility for developing and managing operating plans/budgets

Influence/People Leadership - May oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.; Contributes to employees' professional development, but does not have hiring or firing authority
