Our valued client is seeking a Java/j2ee Web Developer with Websphere experience to work hands-on as well as supervise a small team.  While Team lead/Managerial/Supervisory experience is required, it doesn't neccesarily need to be extensive- this position will be 75% hands-on.   

Our client just finished a massive upgrade of their systems, networks, apps, etc. and are planning on another one in a year or two.  They are running Oracle 9i in a UNIX environment(and will be on 10g shortly) and are hiring a new fulltime permanent team to replace the contractors they've had for the upgrades.

The focus of this position will be to direct and participate in the successful design, development, and maintenance of Web based applications for the Utility. This will require the ability to supervise and assign tasks to individuals working in multiple Web Technology environments including Websphere and Domino. 

GEM's client provides diversified energy-related and non-energy-related products and services to residential and commercial customers. This Southeastern US - based company markets products and services under its own brand as well as through alliances with locally and nationally recognized electricity marketers. This company is looking for a Web Development Supervisor to join the IT organization.
