Java/J2EE Senior Designer/Developer: Great Role/Winning Team

SolTech has been asked to identify a great Senior Level Java/J2EE Designer/Developer for one of our clients.

Our client is a growing software vendor offering products and services. This In Town-based company has moved from little start-up to publicly traded success story in two decades. The company’s culture continues to offer the excitement, informality and warmth of a technology driven start-up as well as the stability, momentum and career opportunities of a successful corporation. It is, in a word ore two, a nice place to work.

One of the company’s most profitable service offerings is driven by a well managed J2EE Development group. This group offers an extremely talented management layer, a terrific and technically deep peer group, and all the good stuff associated with being a “winning” application group. What’s even better is that the group’s agenda now includes some major development projects that will include major architectural and technical upgrades to the computing environment as well as some nifty product development initiatives. The next couple of years will be exciting times in terms of tasks, technology, and real opportunity for contribution, reward and career growth.

Our client is looking for a pretty senior/pretty heavy hitter for the group. Broadly, the need is for a contributor who can be part of the architecture overhaul and be a source of bright ideas at the architectural level. The role includes contribution at the system and program design level as well. And, we’re looking for someone who can be a top of the stack contributor to knocking out great code. And, it’d be perfect if this person could move smoothly into a hands-on management role in the foreseeable future because the group continues to grow. This is, in a few words, a great job.

We are seeking:

•	Degree (very highly prfd); Sun Certifications are a big plus
•	4+ years Full Life Cycle Development Experience for large scale J2EE systems
•	Credible experience in architectural contribution as well as System & Program Design
•	Advanced Hands-On Development Experience & Skill inclusive of classic J2EE and Open Source Technologies
•	Very strong Interpersonal/Communication Skills
