This position is for a software engineer whose primary responsibility will be designing, developing, and customizing a Struts-based web application for the storage and retrieval of media packages containing video and associated files. 

The ideal individual would have strong knowledge of and practical experience in:

•	The Apache Struts framework (preferably the Struts 2.0.x version)
•	Apache Tomcat 6.x
•	Java 1.5,
•	SQL (especially for MySQL)
•	CSS
•	XHTML
•	XML/XSLT
•	JavaScript
•	JSP
•	Windows and Linux development environments

Knowledge of the following would be a plus:
•	Hibernate
•	Eclipse
•	Ant
•	JasperReports 

The individual must be familiar with the development and deployment of web-based applications on both Windows and Linux. This position requires an experienced software developer with strong communication skills who is ready to work on an evolving application with minimal supervision in a fast-paced team environment.

	2+ years C++ experience  
	4+ years of Java
	2+ years of experience in Web Development Technologies

	4+ years Windows/NT/2000 development background
	2+ years of UNIX development background
	Strong scripting abilities (perl, python, javascript or Unix shell)
	Must work very well in a team environment

	Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
