Thompson Technologies has multiple openings for Junior and Mid Level Java Developers to work with a top notch team of people, with great technical skills!  

Our Client is looking for candidates who have the technical skills and personality to be a part of their team. These are full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities for Developers:

Assists Design Engineers in development of Software Specifications utilizing design constructs and standards. 

Provide technical support to Lead Software Engineer. 

Group Overview:

This group develops custom applications for government use in searching large databases for information. All applications are custom builds. For example: Government agencies such as Department of Justice for States use these tools in criminal investigation searches.  The group also works on Counter-Terrorist projects.

This is a heavy back-end development position.

This is a heterogeneous environment – a neutral platform based on the client.  The databases that they work on are 80% Oracle (but they also see Oracle 2, DB2, SQL).   Struts environment, XML, Hibernate and Spring.

Knowledge/Skills:

Government position requires US citizenship. 

Java/J2EE development experience is required. 

Struts experience a must.  

Experience must be within a corporate environment. 

Must be a great team player with excellent Interpersonal skills [this is essentially important]. 

Related Degree is strongly preferred.
