Position immediately available for a leader of information technology. Within this position, the VP of IT will take full leadership of the technology group of a fast growing interactive agency in Atlanta. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the interactive agency enhances and extends the caliber of all technology related services that it provides to its clients.

The VP of IT will act as the lead technology representative on business development opportunities, evaluate the technical viability of ideas/concepts brainstormed by the creative team, developtime estimates and resource requirements for technology components of proposals and SOW’s. Addtionally, the VP of IT will evaluate, implement, review and manage all processes and activities that contribute to a world-class technology organization which includes: ensuring adherence to a consistent development methodology; maintaining a clear definition of roles and responsibilities of the technology team; building a repository of key re-usable components that streamline the development process; maintaining effective Intra-office communication with remote technology teams; managing effective and comprehensive quality assurance testing on all projects; managing all technology development activities to ensure that robust and scalable quality products are delivered on time and on budget; managing internal R&D programs including guiding the development roadmap of the interactive agency’s game server platform; developing partner relationships with external technology services providers (contractors and other technology services firms) to develop a deep bench of technical resources; monitoring technological advancements in the industry and keeping the management team appraised technology market trends/developments; training team on emerging new technologies that our clients are actively evaluating, and managing the internal IT department. This is a high-profile position that will report directly to the president of the company.

This position requires a minimum of 7 years programming/information technology experience (must be JAVA or .NET), project management experience, and experience in the management of offshore development teams. Additionally a four-year degree is required.

Additionally, candidates will have a proven track record in leading development teams, using the following technologies:

Database Experience (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Unix - BSD) 

Web Programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++, Visual Basic - VBA, Microsoft .Net, JAVA, PHP, Perl)

Content management systems and Application Servers
