This position provides technical guidance and direction to development team members to ensure functional requirements are satisfied. Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development requirements. Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consults with all staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software plus the operational and performance requirements of PEP+ application software. Formulates and designs software, using methods to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. May consult with Customers concerning maintenance needs for the software. May assist to coordinate the installation and integration of the product software. ACCOUNTABILITIES: (1) Software solutions from the development team which adhere to ACH design guidelines (2) Ensuring major milestones are met as committed to during project planning (3) Fulfilling ACH customer support as assigned which could include occasional travel

RESPONSIBILITIES: „X Mentor project developers to assist with each person¡¦s development goals „X Design new software using latest techniques and tools required „X Identify and assess design risks to Project Manager(s) „X Write robust, maintainable and well-documented code „X Assist in setting development standards for the development team „X Ensure all developers adhere to project guidelines and development standards „X Perform code reviews on all changes prior to handing over to QA team „X Perform code walkthroughs with developers „X Verify resolution of code defects „X Ensure functional requirements are satisfied for any development project „X Ensure all technical and user documentation is created or maintained as required „X Assist with any software Customer support assistance as needed assigned to server team „X Participate and/or lead daily or weekly team meetings „X Provide weekly status reporting updates to the Project Manager(s) „X Provide input to team manager semi-annually regarding each team member¡¦s performance to goals BackGround: „Ï Experienced leading a small team of JAVA software designers/programmers „Ï Financial software applications development preferably working directly with financial institutions „Ï Experienced at using project management tools such as MicroSoft Project or similar product „Ï Experienced with cross platform software development work between mainframe and server „Ï Experienced with database technologies, most specifically IBM DB2 / UDB or Oracle Required Skills: „Ï Bachelor's Degree plus 4+ yrs. experience with business WEB application software design. „Ï Hands on experience with J2EE JAVA Beans & Servlets, EJB, JSP, HTML, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, JDBC Drivers, SQL, JBuilder Desired Skills: Familiarity with an SDLC methodology, strong quality testing skills, good business requirement analytical skills, JAVA Certification, JAVA JAAS, SOAP, VisualBasic, .net, C++.
