Quality Assurance Specialist(Intermediate): Quality Analyst/ Test Analyst 
for BioSense Data Warehouse: Project Description: Experienced Quality 
Analyst/ Test Analyst will support innovative data warehousing solutions 
to meet public health initiatives. The systems involve multiple public 
health surveillance and information collections that are used for analysis 
of public health disease outbreak or emergency preparedness. Primary job 
responsibility: - Implement test plans in order to ensure the highest 
quality functionality, and performance. - Create test plans, test case 
scenarios, as well as test scripts by translating business requirements, 
use cases, and design specifications - Thorough understanding/management 
of a traceability matrix - Write manual test scripts using the IBM 
Rational Manual Tester tool - Write automated test scripts using IBM 
Rational Robot and/or Functional Tester scripting language - Write 
detailed defects and features and provide examples Key Skills: - Excellent 
time management skills - Excellent communication skills - Ability and 
experience communicating with developers, business analysts and other test 
analysts - Knowledge of Quality Assurance through all phases of the 
development life cycle - Ability to identify Data in the Database - 
Knowledgeable with the Software Development Life Cycle - Ability to work 
on multiple projects - Attention to detail 
Required Skills: 
· Knowledge with both Entity Relational Models and Dimensional Models, 
understanding the Extract, Transform, Load(ETL) tools and their use. 
· Knowledge of Informatica, Rhapsody, and familiar with any Text Editor. 
Must be very knowledgeable in web-based application testing in an 
architectural environment of BEA WebLogic, SQL Server, .NET, and JAVA. 
· SQL programming experience - ability to write, read and execute SQL 
code. Experience w/Client/Server Testing; experience developing 
comprehensive test plans. 
· Experience working with the Rational suite of products. Strong 
development background with proprietary and/or COTS. applications. 
Additional Desired Skills/Pluses: 
· Healthcare and HL7 experience. 
· Knowledge of TELL, Entity Rational Models and Dimensional Models. 
Rational Clear Quest, Rational Rose Processes. 
· Experience with Federal government contracting. 
· Experience evaluating systems, products and preparing documentation. 
Knowledge of Data Brokering or other industry standard tools, a plus. 
Educational Requirements: 
· BS/BA required, , [Major: - BS/BA required, [Major: Preferably IT
