Websphere Administrator - AG6SJKR3

Overview:

Under general direction, independently develops, maintains and extends a stable production, development and testing middleware infrastructure while extending the functionality and enabling developers to use it via mentoring and formal training. Independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to FSG standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which components are written. Codes, tests, debugs, and documents assignments of moderate to high complexity. Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems. A top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of applications system architecture with strong technical (applications based) knowledge. May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge. May serve as project manager or team lead on complex projects

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience WebSphere Application Server (6.x) on IBM AIX and Linux systems

Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Unix or Linux environments. AIX and Red Hat preferred

Expert scripting experience. PERL preferred; Unix or CGI scripting also considered

Working knowledge of Windows XP and Office

Must be able to communicate effectively with software developers, engineers, and test personnel

Must be comfortable working in a team environment and supporting the software development life cycle

Excellent Interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational skills and MS Office skills


Pluses

Experience with Portal

Experience supporting Java Development

Experience with the Capability Maturity Model

Experience with workflow based SCM processes and tools

Experience with Rational ClearCase and/or other configuration management software

Experience with Ant 

Experience with mValent Integrity

Experience with Weblogic Application Server
