Development Manager: strong sql server skills and java skills 
Insight is a web-based application written in Java using Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server database.  We use JSP/JSF pages,  servlets, applets, Hibernate, HTML/CSS/AJAX, SubVersion and Apache Tomcat.   
Responsibilities
•	Java skills to support application above and be “java go to person” for team 
•	Sql server database design and tuning skills 
•	Foster and maintain proven life-cycle development practices
•	Begin to manage the developers in their day to day activities within the first 6 months and optimize the utilization of our staff
•	Responsible for developers planning and documenting their unit tests, testing thoroughly and fixing thoroughly
•	Documentation of unit testing results
•	Responsible for developers documenting program design and details
•	Lead “report out” meetings re: status and roadblocks on small projects
•	Adhere to controls to improve quality 
•	Work with CIO to plan which enhancements are in next release
•	Document and act on customer enhancement requests
•	Create Go/No Go Criteria and lead meetings needed
•	Familiarity with visual basic as we have some old code in VB
•	Report out during testing cycles to CIO, CEO and COO
•	Support QA  and performance testing when help is needed
•	Maintain knowledge base of known issues and resolutions
•	Support sales and marketing occasionally through development of demo tools, presentations and documentation
•	
Required: 	4 year degree
