My client, a St. Louis based company creating sophisticated medical devices is looking for a contract firmware engineer for a long-term project.

SCOPE OF POSITION
Sophisticated development.  Folks conversant with writing Integrity drivers, (kernel and not kernel mode), interfacing to them, dealing with memory protection, and debugging are what we seek. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop software functional specifications and requirements documentation for new and existing products.
Contribute to cost estimates and schedules for software development tasks.
Design, implement and test new software algorithms.
Develop test requirements and create test reports.
Provide product support for extremely complex and interesting firmware.
Execute feasibility studies to determine viability of new product concepts, 	components, or design approaches.
Create and maintain software engineering processes.
Participate in technical reviews of the work performed by the group.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must: have embedded programming experience (4 years). 
Must: have C++ programming language experience (4 years)
Very important requirement - (as close to a must as can be): Green Hills Integrity and/or MULTI and/or velOSity experience.
Strongly desire: experience with Swell Software's PEG or PEG+ (User Interface libraries).
Strongly desire: experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS, such as Integrity, velOSity, VxWorks, QNX, MQX, SMX, RTXC, & pSOS).
Strongly desire: ColdFire microprocessor experience
Helpful: to have CAN or USB experience
Helpful: to have C and Assembly programming language of any kind
