Sr. Software Engineer  (SSE01)

This position requires a self-motivated individual who contributes to highly skilled teams in all phases of software development, from requirements definition through deployment and operation.  They provide technical leadership in the delivery of market-leading e-business systems that incorporate advanced commercial tools and emphasize extensible design and scalable system architecture. 

Duties:

Prepare technical requirements and specifications and object oriented design documents that address business requirements.

Evaluate business requirements and create estimates and project plans for development efforts consistent with best practice project methodologies.

Evaluate and recommend third party products and services in support of development requirements.

Deliver extensible, configurable, quality components for either the web application team, or the server and database team.

Perform unit testing strategies with the QA team.

Assist with project management and develop the knowledge and skills of other team members.

Discuss implementation and testing strategies with the QA team.

Do system analysis for new business requirements.

Architecture system for new features and enhancements.

Document system requirement specifications and system design.

Lean individual projects/modules.

Assist in writing and tracking project plans.

Lead implementations.


Qualifications:

7+ years in software development.

Experience with JavaScript, XSL, XML, HTML, WebLogic, JSP, EJB or third party tools for web page templates, personalization, and content management, SQL and Oracle database concepts.

Development on UNIX platforms.

Financial processing or banking knowledge.

Inter-enterprise or e-commerce systems experience.

Client server architecture and object oriented approaches.

Software Engineering methodologies, Capability Maturity Model process.

Excellent communication skills to interface with the technical, QA, product development, implementation, and customer groups.

Excellent knowledge of software design and programming concepts.

Proficiency in Jaca, J2EE, WebLogic 6.1

4+ years of Java/J2EE experience.

Bachelor's Degree in CS or Engineering or equivalent experience.
