<b>This is a permanent position, we are not willing to consider corp to corp. We are looking for local candidates a relocation package is not being offered. <b/>

This person develops and maintains a J2EE application that manages all aspects of compliance and compensation for insurance producers. This person performs complex technical design, analysis, and troubleshooting of software issues. This person also develops detailed technical specifications for project tasks and assists other software engineers in resolving technical and support issues. This individual must be able to work on multiple projects with little or no supervision, and follow through on each task to completion.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provides leadership in guiding McCamish and client team members to successful development conclusion 
Demonstrates the ability to plan, organize and document development activities 
Performs technical analysis, prepares detailed technical specifications, formulates development plans and integrates various disciplines to achieve assigned goals 
Monitors project schedules, identifies potential project variations and responds appropriately to keep project on time and within budget 
Communicates with McCamish management regarding project status and identifies potential issues that may impact project success 
Adheres to McCamish Systems development and documentation standards 
Education/Experience Requirements:

Degree in computer science, information systems, business management or related field preferred 
Five years of software development experience in a UNIX, Linux, or Windows environment 
Three years of development experience in a Java environment 
Three years of Microsoft SQL database experience including transact SQL 
One year of experience with Hibernate, struts and tiles 
One year of Tomcat web server experience 
Work productively in a team environment. 
Track and report on task activities, and interface with corporate team members and clients 
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills 
<i>Experience in financial services industry including insurance, annuties or mutual funds is a requirement</i>
