Lithium Technologies, a leader in on-demand community software, is seeking a software engineer to help our development and applications engineering team. If you're passionate about software development, interested in developing Web software that will be used by millions of people, and prefer a small company with minimal bureaucracy, this may be the job for you.

OVERVIEW
As a software engineer you will be building and customizing highly scalable web applications using Java. You'll need to be an expert in writing robust object oriented software in Java and efficient database code in SQL. You have a history of building solutions that work and are able to grasp the issues around serving millions of users for our clients like Dell, Sony, Cingular, Univision, and Nintendo. You will work with a team of demanding, highly motivated developers and customer success managers. This position will require the ability to deal with short term deadlines as we work with new and existing customers to deliver exactly the features they need to be successful. You will need to be able to communicate clearly in written and spoken English  Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin would be a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent grasp of Java with at least 3 years experience at companies with strong software engineering cultures
* Good SQL skills with at least 2 years experience
* Solid experience with Java Servlets and JSP
* Experience with DHTML or JavaScript is a plus
* Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
