[ajug-jobs] I'm looking for a side IT gig

If you left on good terms, former employers are a good source of side
work. You often have insider knowledge of how their stuff works so you
can be more efficient than other "outside" contractors.

You also might have good contacts that could give you the scoop on
specific issues they are facing, so instead of cold calling a stranger
and saying "Hi I'm Joe Programmer, you don't know me, but do you have
any work for me?", you get to call a former boss or co-worker and say
"Hey Bob, it's Joe Programmer. I hear you are thinking of putting a Web
front end on the <name your favorite> system. As you might remember, I
worked on that system some while I was there, and I'd be very interested
in helping you out with that project."

Subject: [ajug-jobs] I'm looking for a side IT gig

I'm looking for a side gig (10/hrs a week or so), but really have no
where
to start. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Thanks,
