Requirements: 
As an application tester you'll be focused on uncovering bugs in 
pre-production application enhancements, developing tests plans, and 
creating automated tests to assist you with future testing. 

Project: 
*This position is to join an existing testing team that certifies releases every month for dozens of applications across technologies 
(WEB, Client Server, Mainframe; SQL Server, Oracle, DB2; Unix, MS). 
*The applications are critical work-flow management, contract compliance & reporting, and issue & credit management tools in the Finance organization. 
*Candidates must have experience building test cases from requirements, certifying design documents against requirements & reverseengineering test cases from existing systems. 
*Candidates must have experience preparing environments for test execution & managing defect resolution. 
*Solid communication & documentation skills are required. 
*Ability to work independently & within a team on tight timeframes is required. 
*Strong business knowledge, SDLC knowledge & technical knowledge are required. 
*Experience with Mercury testing tools (Winrunner/Test Director) is a bonus. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 
. Use skill to drive the quality of client/server and web-based application 
development projects to a demanding standard. 
. You must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail. 
. You must have exemplary communications skills, a strong technical 
background, and swift technical learning skills. 
. You need to be passionate about your job and willing to do whatever it 
takes to ensure delivery of bug-free applications on time and to the 
standards of user requirements. 
. You need to be innovative about creating tools and processes to help 
Developers succeed on ever-growing projects during standard project cycles. 
. You need to work directly with developers to successfully develop methods 
for qualifying new features and develop automation tools. 
. You need to successfully communicate with managers, developers, other 
testers, project managers and end users to identify test requirements and 
test cases. 
. You need to create documentation to explain test cases and provide users 
with training documentation. 
. You need strong problem solving skills to help as a second tier of 
production support on a daily basis. 

Skills/Knowledge/Experience: 
. This position requires a self-motivated, positive, and proactive 
individual with strong skills who can interact with all levels of testing & 
development. 
. This position requires the ability to work with peers across the country 
using telecommuting, video conferencing, and net conferencing. 
. Prior experience as an Application tester is required. 


Requirements/Education: 
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years testing experience 
Applicable Technologies include: Java, Oracle, SQL server, Access, I-planet, 
UNIX, DB2, and IIS
