JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking career-minded, results-oriented Senior Developer who demonstrates excellent problem solving and communication skills. Must be a strong team player with an experience base of 3 ? 5 years. Background should include design and development experience in production high transaction volume environments.
Candidate will participate in development, testing, and support of middleware and web-enabled applications utilizing J2EE, WebLogic and/or WebSphere, SQL, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, XML, XSL, and HTML.
Candidate must demonstrate experience in delivery of complex systems in a wide range of technologies and must have currency in Enterprise Java technologies including JSP, JDBC, JMS, and EJB. A strong background in Object Oriented design and development is required, as is a demonstrated ability to embrace and apply new technologies and concepts.
Successful candidate will exhibit strong analysis and design skills as well as hands-on development/debug skills and a track record for delivering quality work on time. All team members will have similar levels of experience and expertise and will be expected to contribute across the entire development cycle (analysis, design, code, test, initial pilot/production launch, and production support).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
At least 3 years development experience with Java, preferably J2EE
At least 2 years experience with SQL and a major RDBMS
At least 2 years experience developing web-based UI applications using JSP/Servlets/HTML
Strong knowledge of fundamental design principles
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Interpersonal and relationship skills necessary to work with an integrated team of customers, product managers, implementation specialists and quality engineers.
Experience in the financial services space will be helpful.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Undergrad degree in computer science or related field.
