Job Description:
The web developer / analyst will have responsibility for programming design in a variety of projects involved with all aspects of web application development, including database design/optimization, stored procedure creation and custom object development.  The individual will work with the Ecommerce Development Manager as well as end users to design online applications that are effective and efficient.  Deliverables typically include overall navigation flow, layout and possibly the creation of individual graphic elements.  Job will include 70% new development & 30% application support.


Duties and Responsibilities:
•	Responsible for design and maintenance of all web applications developed internally.
•	Ensure that all design elements and pages work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
•	Work with outside development teams as needed on application design and testing.
•	Participate in efforts to improve quality of web applications and other electronic publications as required.
•	Work with marketing staff to support public web site design and /or maintenance as needed.
•	Work with the AS400 team and other IS groups to provide seamless, integrated applications.


Required Experience:
•	Bachelor’s degree from a accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the information technology field
•	4+ years experience with Java/J2EE development & Microsoft SQL Server
•	5+ years HTML experience
•	AS400/DB2 knowledge a plus
•	ASP/.NET knowledge a plus
•	Acord XML knowledge a plus
•	Insurance industry knowledge mandatory
•	Excellent verbal & written communication
