AirDefense is the innovator and market leader in Anywhere, Anytime Wireless Network Security.   We are spearheading the drive into the wireless world and are seeking highly skilled professional software developers to create our newest and most exciting products.

We are seeking mid and senior level developers with the following expertise:

Java Developer

Solid understanding and experience in the following areas (at least 5 years)
- Core Java ( 5- 7 years)
- Swing development ( 3 - 5 years, actual writing swing code, not using IDE to drop components )
- Servlet development ( 3 - 5 years - JSP, Struts )
- XML/XSL (parses, open source tools) ( 3- 5 years)
- Tomcat deployment, configuration, security, etc.
- Service oriented architectures (middleware experience)
- RPC Mechanisms (Corba, RMI )
- Networking Applications development experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience in other programming languages, C, C++ desirable
- Shell scripting experience using ksh/Perl a big plus
- Java based Design patterns (Reflection, Strategy, specifically)
- Java based Architecture  (OO, Analysis and Design tools, UML, etc.)
- Understanding of javascript, applet, webstart, java applications, jsp
- Relational DB experience - Postgres preferred - complex sql creation
- Understanding of current UI technologies (.NET, AJAX, XSL)
- High performance computing
- MVC Model experience and knowledge
- Experience with Linux (Red Hat preferred)
- Experience with CVS
