technology for the media industry. Their worldwide customer base includes
a broad range of major news companies, cable and satellite TV operators,
and TV and Radio networks.
Middleware Engineer;
Siemens has an opening for a contract (6+ mos.) Software Middleware Engineer
in their Atlanta, Ga office. Sorry, local (Atlanta area) candidates only.
The Middleware Engineer will be responsible for developing middleware for
the broadcast and post production industry. Must be experienced in all
aspects of the software development cycle. The Engineer will be doing mid
tier development on a multi-tier environment. This person will work with a
program manager, architect, engineering management and software development
team to design and implement a comprehensive development project plan. In
some cases the Software Engineer will also work with customers to analyze
and document customer requirements. The Engineer will be responsible for
communicating status to management with regards to development progress,
potential problems and schedule. Responsibilities will also include defect
reporting and tracking.
Requirements;
Experience with J2EE, UML, Java, XML, EJB data modeling and workflow
development required. A big plus would be JBoss, JCA, RUP or JMX. Also a
plus would be experience with high availability, load balancing, failover,
resilience and clustering configurations on JBoss App. Server.
Strong integration skills are a plus.
Good technical (and business) analysis skills, especially in the areas of
technical architectures.
