As is often the case, SourceForge is your friend... I see quite a few
utilities on the Windows platform using Nullsoft's installer which is
hosted on SourceForge at:
http://nsis.sourceforge.net/home/
Linux is a bit of a minefield for GUI installers as the LSB (Linux
Standard Base) has not been out that long. Then again most Linux desktop
users are able to handle their own install given a README file :-)
On Mac OS-X I hear that jar files are click and run... aahhh Java
Nirvana, but I don't have a PowerBook :-(
