Subject: [ajug-members]: J2EE study group
information
A while ago, some information was posted to the
AJUG mailing list announcing the start of a J2EE
study group. There was strong response, and the group
has begun to meet and is progressing along the course of study. The
past couple of weeks have brought several new members on board who had
not noticed the initial emails but heard about the group via
word-of-mouth. Yesterday we had the 3rd week's meeting, the 2nd week of
real content (the initial meeting was just a kickoff). At this point,
it's still not too late to jump on board for anyone who is still interested in
joining. So far we have covered common architectures
and object-oriented analysis and design, neither of which is
J2EE-specific and both of which are fairly familiar topics to many AJUG
members. The group now has a web site with information about the study
and downloads of the presentations so far. It's at: http://www.ajug-scea.org/ I'd
encourage anyone still curious to take a look and see if you might want to
participate before the study progresses too far into J2EE-specific
topics.
Thanks for your time and this will be the final
announcement to do with this particular study group made to the general
list,
Jeff
