Dear AJUG members who are still interested in EII topic,
I've been a member of this forum for years but have been an infrequent
participant. That's primarily because I've been far too busy-and a lot of
my energy-has been focused in system integration using non-java
technologies. Nonetheless, I do appropriate the many wonderful
contributions people have made through the years. So, let me express my
gratitude now and quickly more on.
The enclosed subject (EII / Enterprise Information Integration) appears to
be off topic and my reply quite tardy, so please accept my apology-in
advance-for this late response. At present, it is my intention to let this
be my only reply on this subject, partly because this theme does indeed seem
to be off the main thread-i.e. a subject relating to Java.
For those who still interested in discovering more on the theme of system
integration, you're welcomed to visit my site. The material is notably
dated but I still think it can be helpful to some. Visit
http://www.davis.online.name and drill down on the "schematic" section. I
provide dozens of files (pictures and commentary) which present a complete
integration of a disparate system. A cost accountant estimated they would
receive in excess of $600,000 in annual savings from the system that's
described on this site.
Further, you can also click on the hyperlink marked "index" (accessible from
the main page and within the left frame). If you do this, then you'll be
directed to a list of diagrams, charts, mythologies, commentary, etc. on
subject system integration. Feel free on contact me offline and directly,
if you're interested in discussing this further. To be honest, my schedule
may prevent me from a quick reply or to engage in an extended discussion.
But I'll do my best to be of some help.
Lastly, the site also includes a bibliography. From this, those who are
interested, can further research the respective topic of enterprise
integration.
Respect to you all and with best regards,
Steve Davis

Subject: [ajug-members]: EII (Enterprise Information Integration)
I caught the beginning paragraphs of an article on EII yesterday at B&N, but
had to move on and didn't purchase, thinking I could find more info on the
web.
To be honest, my search hasn't been very fruitful so far. Anyone know where
I can a. find more info on EII, and b. find available implementations?
Thanks!
John
