Help!! (WAS & IBMHTTPServer)

Greetings!

Recently I have installed WAS v5.0, which also
included IBMHTTP & IBM Deployment Manager.
For some reason when I try (http://localhost), the
page cannot be found is being displayed.

But, when I type [http://Defaultserver] (Default
server obtained by typing C:\nslookup), it shows the
welcome page for IBMHTTPServer. This has been a bump
as I was trying to enable SSL. Even after commenting
the suggested changes done in httpd.conf (to enable
SSL) the problem persists. 
Please correct if am wrong, I think in the first place
I shouldnt even have access to the Nameserver except
for knowing the closest nameserver. Any help will be
appreciated, as starting all over with installation is
pain when the problem can be rectified easily.
