Dear members:
I'm just one short month away
from finishing JavaScript, having already
taken 3 courses in Java (with a 4.0 average). I also have 23 years as a
Cobol
programmer/analyst, but with the downturn in the Cobol market, have
moved
on to (hopefully) a more marketable language, Java. I live in Atlanta, Ga,
and
would like to start coding in Java, etc real soon, but there seems to be no
way
any companies allow new Java Developers an opportunity to break in.
Every-
body wants experience, and nobody is willing to hire somebody on an
entry-
level basis. I'm willing to pay my dues, and start at a lower salary, but
need
somebody to give me a chance. Does anybody have any ideas, or great
advise?
Thanks, Jim
