as we had a long meeting. :(

The type of most files is an image file. It might not
reduce the size of file too much after compression.
AOL is using this tech. But it is a good suggestion.

I am thinking if I get a ftp connection through java
class then upload the files to our ftp server, how the
performance would be, worse or better? I guess it
would not have any help on the web performance, as I
need to get ftp connection first. However, it will be
easy for our account managers to download the files as
needed.

I saw some guys were using java class runtime to
invoke ftp client program on local machine. It has
some security issues and will be fine if using
internally.
