Re: unable to lauch eclipse in linux

Poorav,

I'm running Eclipse 2.1 on Gentoo. The "workspace" directory should be inside
your user home directory. Inside of that is a .metadata directory and inside
that is the .log file.

(I hate where this directory goes in windows, I'm so tired of windows programs
assuming a user has write access to the Program Files directory!)

Also, if you try to switch between the gtk and the motif versions, please
delete the workspace directory tree before trying, there is something
incompatible between the versions and I wasted a few cycles figuring out that
one.
