tomcat crashes
I have Apache Tomcat 4.0.3 installed and the java version i am using is
C:\>java -version
java version "1.3.1_02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_02-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_02-b02, mixed mode)
When i try to go to a particular page the server crashes with the following
message
#
# HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Internal Error
# Please report this error at
# http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi
#
# Error ID: 47454E45524154452F4F502D41500E435050084B

Now the thing is, i am experiencing this problem only on my production server
running on Win 2K server. My development server, with a similar setup except
for the OS being win NT, has no problems.
To give a little more information on my application, it is built using the
struts framework, and the particular page it is trying to display has a lot of
form fields, (drop down boxes, text boxes, checkboxes, etc.) I had read
somewhere earlier that there is a limit to the number of <html:tags> per jsp
page. to overcome this i split up my jsp page into 2 pages and i do jsp:include
to view the form as a contiguous form. has anybody experienced this problem
before? do you think i should possibly try and break the page into yet smaller
sections? in fact i will try that while i wait for your input.
any help here will be quite appreciated.
thanks
