RE: Bitwise operators
Hi Marty.
Check out www.javaranch.com . On the left menu, click Campfire Stories.
There are several 'stories' about pass by value, polymorphism, and 'cat and
mouse games with bits', etc. It will at least get you jump started in the
right direction. If you are studying for the SCJP, there is also rules
roundup game on the site to test your java knowledge. This site helped me
immensely when I was studying for the SCJP.
Best of luck!

Subject: Bitwise operators
All,
I'm studying for the SCJP and find that I'm having a little trouble with
bitwise operators. I think I might have an easier time getting my brain
around them if I thought they were useful. But, in my limited Java
experience, I can't think of any reason why someone might want to use them.
I thought the folks on this list might have some insight for me. So, if
you find bitwise operators useful, fun, or otherwise stimulating, please
drop me a line and let me know.
Thanks,
Marty
