Prepared statements are your best bet.  It creates a
temporary stored proc on your db, even if you're not
sending parameters.  I've created sql with multiple
nested tables, and temp tables created within the from
clause and where clause - 200 lines long (please do
ask me what for --) ) , and successfully passed it
without problems through jdbc to Oracle.
