Just last week it came up in an interview I had. I think it would have 
helped if I could have answered yes that I was certified. I think it all 
depends on who you are interviewing with or who is reviewing your resume 
though.  In my case I was interviewing with the VP of Finance of this 
company.  He was not a deep technical guy and definitely not a software 
engineer.  In his eyes it was something of value and importance.  As a 
software engineer myself though, I do not give it much weight in terms of 
some ones abilities. But it obviously can carry some weight in some 
circumstances in regards to getting a job or through the filtering process 
of an HR manager.
