Where's the Static Beef?

I'm evaluating a tool that draws the UML diagrams.

I am drawing a class diagram and want to label one of the 
class methods as static.  Can't seem to find a way to do this in the tool.

I have also looked in Fowler's UML book and found that he doesn't mention
anything about how to identify methods as static either.

Seems like I should be able to indicate if a method is static on a class 
diagram. Is this correct?

Can someone give me guidance.
