What has the President got to do with it? Economies go up and down. That
is a natural cycle. Many IT folks just profited off one of the worst
over-enthusiastic bubbles of our country's history. The necessary
correction is painful because we changed our expectations of normal.

My question about the Java market is:
Which type of Java development is primarily done at your location?
J2EE
Servlets/web apps w/o other J2EE
Swing/client
JDBC/Database/SQLJ
Game/entertainment
Mobile/J2ME
Tools/Utilities/Components

This would give people learning Java some way to focus. Java is too
large for anyone to fully grasp. You have to specialize.
