Re: RMI Application question
We routinely use RMI to connect between Java client applications and
Unix mid-tier servers which ultimately connect to IBM mainframes. We
have RMI applications supporting 50,000 workstations through just 2 Unix
mid-tiers. RMI is free, easy to use and seems to do the job. Security
and database access is handled on the mainframe. So there is little
justification for EJB's.
