Excuse me, I apologize for being off topic,  I thought that configuration of servlet containers would be topical.  I will not ask such questions on this forum again.  And thanks for the RTFM comments, I will have to do that since it is not part of this discussion group.

While this has nothing at all to do with AJUG or Java, I think that you will find that setting up Apache or Tomcat to use SSL is documented not only in the docs for each, but also on various places on the web. Google is your friend.

I am working on a website that I need to host a message board securely.
I have a CGI script for the message board, I am going to use Tomcat or
Apache as the web server.  How do I set it up to use https for access to
the board.
 
And is this the right way to go about it?
