Re: GUI doesn't appear in rare cases



I thought it might have been related to the video mode as well (but
it's really hard to determine if it's still running, or seizes at some
point after logging the initialization events and actually getting the
GUI up).  The video card in the broken machine is the same as the card
in another machine that works fine.  Also tried matching the video
modes, but no luck there either.  Unfortunately, I don't have much
access to the machine anymore to do much further testing, so I guess
it'll stay the way it is for now.  Thank you everyone for the
suggestions.
