Are you wanting to learn Java just so that you can transition to CF or are
you (also) wanting to really learn Java to expand beyond CF?

For the former, you might just want to pick up a good Servlets and JSP book
to start with.

With Neo, are they going to push you into using EJBs?  If so then, after
the servlet and JSP stuff, you should get a copy of the third-edition of
Richard Monson-Haeful's EJB book (it's the one from O'Reilly).
