Netscape 6 applet issues

I'm trying to port an applet from netscape 4.x to
Netscape 6 and having a problem with some parameters
returning NULL from Applet.getParameter().  I've found
one or two posts on the web regarding problems with N6
limiting the number of parameters you can pass in, but
nothing conclusive.  Has anyone had similar problems?
