Let me swing this question another way: what features of your IDE do you
find lacking in vim?  Here's my short list based off of a comparison to
VisualCafe.  However, I can't say that I really use any of these:

- Visual GUI building
- Automatic generation of EJB deployment descriptors
- Some debugging features

Just about everything else I've wanted in a Java IDE I've found in vim, with
the addition of some publically-available scripts.  Your mileage may vary,
however.

Oh, and one other VisualCafe feature I've not found in vim:

- Spurious core dumps
