Stan,

Since JDK 1.3, the Java Plug-in works great for us.  We work with an
application for Bank of America where they use the Java Plug-in running
under NT and OS/2 to retrieve and manipulate check images.  My previous
experience with the plug-in was under 1.2 and I had a lot of problems.
All of the problems have gone away with 1.3.  Further, the part of the
code that uses the plug-in actually works the best.  In other sections of
the application, they attempt to use JavaScript.  Unfortunately,
JavaScript seems to differ greatly between Netscape and IE.  So getting
things to work correctly was difficult.
