Websphere Installation troubles

Hi.  First of all, thanks to a bunch of you for giving me invaluable
information.  As soon as I get some free time, I'll try to respond
personally to those who have helped me.  I'm starting to understand the IBM
way of doing things in the servlet/WebApp world.

My current problem:
I just installed WebSphere 3.5 Advanced on a Windows 2000 Machine, using DB2
Universal Database (Enterprise Version 7.1.0.24).  When I try to open the
admin console, I get the following error:

  The Admin Client failed to connect to the Admin Server.  Start the
  local or remote Admin Sercer service before launching the Admin Client,
  "

I have started the Admin Client!  I even wiped out the installation and
started over again, only to get the same error.

Do any of you have any clue why this isn't working? Have you seen this
before?
