Subject: Looking for ISP/Web Hosting to support Java Technology / Object
Relational DB
I have been developing some java apps. on an intranet and would like to
move the apps. to the internet.
I am using java servlets, JSP, and JDBC primarily.
As for the database, all I see is MYSQL which I am not familiar with.
If I use a relational database, I would prefer using Interbase
since I have a history with it. I would really prefer an
object/relational database to minimize the need to map objects to
tables. I have been using JDataStore (Borland) with success.
I would like to find an ISP that is offering web hosting for these
services. For example, Blacksun.ca provides all of these services
except the JDataStore but they are up in Canada and that means extra
expense for phone calls etc.
Surely, somebody must have already went through this learning curve and
could give me some references and some advice.
How are other java developers handling this situation?
Thanks for the input.
