Hello all,
I wanted to take this
opportunity to thank AJUG for establishing this list. I haven't received any
specific job interviews or offers from it but I have had the most resume
views from the AJUG.org referrer URL to my web site that contains my
portfolio and resume.
To that end, I wish to post my
information again for this month, as I am still looking for contract or
full-time employment in the Atlanta area. I'm excited about working with a team
of senior developers. Ideally being mentored to death on a daily basis by 5 Sr.
Unix Admins and 5 Sr. Analysis'. So, once again here is the URL to my online
portfolio and resume, respectively. http://kevinstoll.org/ & http://kevinstoll.org/resume/kevin_stoll.html
Also, I wanted to reply to Steve Durdin in your previous posting about your difficulty
regarding the current job market. I to feel as though I am compromising my skill
set by not outlining all of my efforts in previous positions. Although, I do
have a recommendation for you that might be the best of both worlds. Two
resumes... Yes, two :( The first should be a resume that can be
scanned nothing but the facts resume so that the HR people can just look
for the keys words without understanding the rest and then reference the
availability of your full resume ( however many pages that might be) on your
"just the facts" resume. This works for you and the prospective employer, quite
well. Specifically because you don't feel jaded and they can actually
"understand" your resume without all the techno mumbo jumbo.. If you need
any help or pointers just give me a call or email and I will try to give you
reference to the material that I use.
Thanks everyone and see you at the next
meeting,
Kevin O'Neill Stoll
